The film follows two neighboring families living in the countryside: Reer Suldan and Reer Guuleed. There are water wells meant to be shared and used by the whole community, but a politician named Cantar, who comes from Reer Guuleed, diverts them for his own interests.
As conflict grows over the control of the wells, tensions rise between the two families. Amid this dispute, Hamse, a young man from Reer Guuleed, is in love with Degan, a girl from Reer Suldan. However, as the conflict escalates, Hamse ends up taking Degan by force.
